Gulab Jamun at home

Well my sweet tooth craving does not seem to stop and so I tried my hands on making some gulab jamun at home today. Let me tell you the presentation was not that great but it tasted amazing! Here goes the recipe...

First you need the nestle milk powder or any other milk powder if you want. Next mix the milk powder with some maida and make a dough with milk and some ghee in it. You can also add some cardamon seeds to it, so that it tastes better.

Let the dough be for some time, next we will make the sugar syrup. In a pan take water and add sugar to it, allow the sugar to boil with the water and after a good 10 - 15 minutes put off the gas. One can also add kesar for some color and a drop of essence.

Take the dough and make small balls in the shape of a Jamun. Keep making these small balls and next fry them in oil. You can also use ghee to fry them. Let the Jamun take a golden brown color and then take it off the fry pan and add it to the sugar syrup.

Let the Jamun absorb the Sugar in the syrup and then the yummy Gulab Jamuns are ready to be served! Do try out this quick recipe for some sweet tooth craving. :-)
