Some Roasted Papad with Mint Chutney

Well, I am a sindhi and this goes without a saying I am fond of Papad a lot. And so today evening I am going to be serving some Papad and mint chutney with few more snacks. Well this is no rocket science and so here goes my easy recipe.

Take Papad firstly, I prefer taking the small ones, as they are easy to eat and break as well. Roast them on the Tava, with no oil at all. And here goes your Papad, half job done!

Next take a few mint leaves, coriander leaves, and green chilli along with curd and grind them all in the mixer. Add a pinch of brown salt for taste. Now take the cutney out and ensure you mix it well, garnish it with some mint leaves and you are ready to serve it with Papad. Now that was quick!

Do try this out, until I come back with more such quick snack bites. Happy Eating !

Ice Cream....some more sweet tooth craving

Well, today afternoon was one hell afternoon! Me and my sister decided to have ice cream and so I immediately prompted out to her to get this one ice cream which we get at Baskin Robins. Blame it on my bad luck or may be just one of the festive days, I literally went to  outlets to find my flavor.

So, I love this cotton candy flavor at Baskin Ronins and so I decided I will just walk around and get it. To my bad luck the first outlet next to my house said that the flavor was over. I was a little disappointed but then I let go,as I could get it from another outlet which is also not far away. I walk down to the next outlet only to know that they are also out of stock of the same flavor. I am not getting suspicious and annoyed. why on earth is the flavor out of stock and the guy across the counter sweetly smiles and tells me, Mam it is festival time and so it is already over. I smile back with a grin on my face this time. I plead to him to tell me where can I get it and he says go to the outlet which is some 5 kms away from my place.

In all excitement, I tell him to help me confirm if I will get it if I spend some money travelling that extra mile. My sister looks at me with absolute amazement, and gives me the look like - are you mad?
I refuse to fight back, because I want to have this ice cream now and more so because it is out of stock that means it is so famous and amazing.

And, so after getting the confirmation we head towards the next outlet and there I am enjoying my Cotton candy Ice Cream. Absolute heaven, made my travelling worth!

Perfect beginning to my weekend and cooling down my system in the summers.

Gulab Jamun at home

Well my sweet tooth craving does not seem to stop and so I tried my hands on making some gulab jamun at home today. Let me tell you the presentation was not that great but it tasted amazing! Here goes the recipe...

First you need the nestle milk powder or any other milk powder if you want. Next mix the milk powder with some maida and make a dough with milk and some ghee in it. You can also add some cardamon seeds to it, so that it tastes better.

Let the dough be for some time, next we will make the sugar syrup. In a pan take water and add sugar to it, allow the sugar to boil with the water and after a good 10 - 15 minutes put off the gas. One can also add kesar for some color and a drop of essence.

Take the dough and make small balls in the shape of a Jamun. Keep making these small balls and next fry them in oil. You can also use ghee to fry them. Let the Jamun take a golden brown color and then take it off the fry pan and add it to the sugar syrup.

Let the Jamun absorb the Sugar in the syrup and then the yummy Gulab Jamuns are ready to be served! Do try out this quick recipe for some sweet tooth craving. :-)

Sweet Tooth

Well, with the festival season just around the corner this weekend, I thought why not indulge in some food that gives relief to my sweet tooth and mu taste buds go yumm...and so I decided that I am going to hope on to the kitchen to prepare a few sweets and then again my mind wondered, that I am too lazy to make one. And so I decided to drive down in the lanes and came across this shop which has the world's best cup cakes and macrons.

I am sure, you all must be aware of it and must have been there tried it types, but for me it was my very first visit to the store. Guys I am talking about LE 15, the outlet which has made me fall in love and has made me eat with no guilt. So just last night I had this craving for eating something sweet and so I decided I will walk down and check few normal cake shops. I came across this one and instantly got attracted. I decided to halt and get in and trust me the halt was just perfect and worth every penny.

I looked upon all the yummy things available and eventually decided to start with a red velvet cup cake. Trust me it is worth the money, it was amazing. Next I tried was the rose macron, which was again worth the size and money. I have fallen in love with this place and decide to go there yet again tonight.

I as a food blogger totally recommend this place and give it a 5 out of 5. Good Job Le 15!

Cheese Dips at Home

Guys,

Hope you all are enjoying reading my blogs on food! Well you may find a few of my posts boring but this is my passion and I am exploring new ways of giving this passion a broader look. And so every time I try something new, i like to write it on my blog.

So today I am going to share with you one such recipe which is extremely easy to be made at home and is an absolute die to have dish by all, especially the kids. Well I am going to share with you my recent exploration to making cheese dip at home. Let me start off with this to avoid wasting much time.

Firstly, you need a bowl of curd, with this we will mix cheese spread, the normal one that you get from the market, I use amul mostly. So take the curd and mix the cheese spread along with it well. Next we will take  cubes of cheese and grate them in this mixture, now you need to ensure you grate the cheese well and so that it mixes well with the curd and cheese spread. Add a pinch of brown salt to this and oregano flakes, keep mixing this, till you feel the cheese dip is ready to be served.

Now, enjoy your favorite cheese dip with chips or with any snacks that you take in the evening. This is by far the easiest and best cheese dip that one can enjoy with all things available in the kitchen. I hope you all liked my recipe, do try the same and let me know how did it taste.

Happy Eating !

Must Haves in Mumbai

Ola Folks,

Well, today I am here for a different reason, I have shared a few of my recipes in the last few blogs but today I wish to share with you my opinion of a few must have foods in my city.

And I cant wait to share that with you, so I am going to begin right away. Well, first on my list is Corn cheese balls in Bombay Blues , they are an absolute must and should be tried at least once. I am sure you would want to go there again.

Number 2 on my list of must haves is the Ferrorocher milk share at Ice and Rolls at Vile Parle. Well this one needs no endorsements. You need to just hope on to try and indulge in the magic of chocolate.

Well, next on my list is the fresh cream at Haji ali Juice Centre, the one in Town. Guys you must try this. Although it is a little over priced but the freshness of the fruits and the cream dipped in it, is worth the money totally.

One should also try the famous Wada Pav near Kirti college, it is like the staple diet of Mumbaikars and for everyone who comes to Mumbai, must ensure they do not miss out on this delicacy.

And, so last but not the least on my list of must haves is the cigar rolls at Facing East in Juhu. It is so far the best and amazing cigar roll I have had. the way the cheese melts in your mouth, I only can say it is heavenly pleasure. So guys I totally recommend this one too.

Well with this, I want to give it a stop on my must have list, as this is what I recollect having in the last one week, so go for it this weekend and put on some extra calories, as it is food that makes us happy! :-)

Maggi my style

Hello Folks,

I hope you all read my last post about the cream cracker recipe. I know this is too soon to write about another recipe but since I have spare time now, I thought I rather make good use of it, and what better than sharing recipes.

So, I am sure you all are wondering, why Maggi. Guys we all have a different style of making maggi, ever wondered why all maggis are so different and yet yummy in their own way. The reason is because we all have our own style and taste for Maggi.

Let me today share with you my style maggi. Not that it is any rocket science type recipe, it is very simple and yet the best one according to me. So, first and foremost get a packet of Maggi, the bigger the better, as you know how frequently survive on Maggi. So get a packet of Maggi, and now take a pan, in which you will need to add 2 cups of water, let the water boil for a while and now add Maggi.

Allow the maggi to mix well with the water and now add some maggi masala to it, mind you you need to ensure you save some, for garnishing in the end. Now add the following one after the other.Start off by adding some chilli powder , you can now add some tomato ketchup, followed by some Tabasco sauce. Ensure you add all of this, while the maggi is still in the pan. You will now notice that the Maggi is taken a color of its own and is now well prepared to be served. You can leave some water in the Maggi to get that soupy taste alternatively you can dry it up.

Server the maggi in a plate now and add the remaining maggi masala that you had saved earlier. You can now start hogging on your Maggi. So this is my style maggi, do share your style maggi as well and let me know so that I can try it as well.

Hope you enjoy your Maggi! :-)

My First Recipe

Hello Folks,

Well, to give you all a quick and small introduction about myself, let me tell you I am a food lover and a food blogger now. I love food and hence the blog name, which reads Fooding all the way!

So, here I am today to present to you my first blog which will talk about a few of my home made recipes, and so without wasting much time, let me just start with it.So I am going to share with you one such home made snack which is a sure shot love and hit by all age group.

The names reads as Cream Cracker snacks and I am sure many of you out there must have made different combinations and recipes out of this biscuit, but I will be glad if I can share my recipe with all you guys.

So, first start off by taking a pack of cream cracker biscuits and the following ingredients - capsicum, onion, coriander leaves, mayonnaise, baked beans, spread cheese and cube cheese. To add some flavors we also need oregano and cheese powder. Step 1 would be placing the biscuit in a tray, and then preparing the batter. Well the batter includes chopped capsicum and onion, which is then mixed with mayonnaise, spread cheese, oregano and powder cheese.  Mix them all well and add a pinch of salt to taste.

Next we take the batter and put it on the biscuits in appropriate quantity, we will now take the baked beans and put one spoon on each biscuit and cover it with a layer of grated cube cheese. Garnish it with finely chopped coriander leaves and put in the oven for a good 2 minutes to ensure the cheese settles well on the biscuits and to ensure a crispy base.

You can now serve the biscuits which are ready to be eaten and are healthy enough as snacks for kids as well. 3 biscuits should fill your tummy well and not make you hungry soon. I hope you all like the recipe and try it at home.

Do let me know your comments and feedback after trying this one, which is indeed my favorite one.
